Online job opportunities can be tempting, but scams are common. How do you check whether a remote job posting or online job offer is legitimate? Do you research the company, look for reviews on websites like Glassdoor, confirm contact information, or watch for warning signs such as requests for upfront fees or personal information? Share your tips for telling real opportunities from scams.

I would do tons of research with Better Business Bureau and other places.

And If I was dealing with individuals, not companies, I would need to see strong reviews particularly, but note that reviews can also be a scam

One of the scams we have seen in our town is that a scam organization sends you a laptop, label maker, and other items needed to do an "at-home shipping center". The packages that are dropped off at your house are all stolen packages, and they have you mail them somewhere else with new tracking labels. It's quite in-depth.
