Forum and Blog Hacking

What do you do to prevent it from happening? Myself, I use very strong passwords for the admin. I think it's something all forums should do to prevent hacking, even on paid software which is stereotyped as hack-proof.

Thankfully, my forums and blogs haven't been hacked yet. I use 2FA for my admin account on my sites. I also protect my hosting account and domain registrar account with 2FA.

I used to run a blog but never ran any forum yet so I can only speak from the blog side. Strong admin passwords are definitely crucial,, I also kept my platform updated regularly and used security plugins. It's smart that you're thinking about this stuff even with paid software since nothing's really 100% hack-proof these days.

Other than 2FA and strong passwords, I ensure that all my plugins and themes are current. Hackers usually get in through an outdated version. Besides, keeping good backups means that if anything goes wrong, you can get back on your feet quickly.

I don't use 2FA because it makes it too much a pain for me to get in. However, though, I do use very strong passwords. Do you figure that's enough?

Anyway, though, in regard to banking, there is a lot of 2FA, though and that's good. Things are often run thru my mobile phone.

I use 2FA on pretty much everything I have. Banks, Forums, Emails, Investment Accounts, etc. Even if the hacker gets my password, he most likely won't have my cell phone.

I suppose that a combination of strong passwords and 2FA is the best way to go. Hackers are becoming more intelligent, and if you use additional layer of protection it makes it so much more difficult for them to gain entry into your account.

I should at least use 2FA with email for admin accounts for forums and blogs. I did that one time, it wasn't a big deal.

But nobody would be interested in hacking my forums except from being fueled by hate. There's no money like in a bank etc..

All email accounts should use 2FA. Email accounts open up access to anything that uses it by using forgot password.

Yeah, I need to get 2FA for it, but I'm not sure if my premium service has it. Does anyone know if inbox.org has it?

But, anyway, I use super-strong passwords on all admin and user accounts on email, forums, blogs etc..
